As of spring 2009, Jim Hyslop has taken on the role of Acting Fire Chief and Acting Training Officer. He will seek guidance and advice from other agencies and Fire Departments to ensure that Silver City Fire & Rescue continues to make the right decisions and provide the same levels of fire and rescue services to our community. If you are interested in helping Jim, or even taking over these roles, please let us know!

In other spring news, we are gearing up for our Work Day on  Saturday, May 2. Come volunteer a few hours and some elbow grease, and help us get our rigs ready for the season.  Give us a call at 208-466-5064 if you are interested.

Cheryl Burril has donated the use of another beautiful painting to Silver City Fire & Rescue. We are printing new holiday cards with her painting, which shows children carrying a Christmas tree up the snowy road into Silver City. Please let us know if you would like to purchase these beautiful cards.

Check them out at the bottom of our Store page.

We are pleased to launch our first web site! We’ll keep you updated on SCF&R activities here on the News page.  Please check out the site and let us know what you think!
